FAQ

  • Where do I turn off my water?

In an emergency you will need to find the shut off for the sprinkler system. Most of the time turning off the timer will not stop a zone if its malfunctioning. For reclaimed water systems you’ll need to find the meter box by the road and turn it off there. For potable water systems you should have a backflow device. You can usually find on side of your home of your house. See images here. We will try to get to you as soon as possible but if you can save some water we hope this helps.

  • Do I need a rain sensor?

Yes—rain sensors are highly recommended and often required by local or state regulations. A rain sensor automatically shuts off your sprinkler system when enough rain has fallen, preventing overwatering, saving water, and helping lower your water bill. It also protects your lawn from damage caused by excessive watering.

Although, traditional rain sensors can break frequently and don’t do well in our harsh tropical environment. We now recommend smart home timers that connect to the internet and check local weather reports accurately.
